Event Waiver & Release of Liability

By registering for or attending a Tesla Owners Club of Ohio event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation

I understand that my participation is entirely voluntary. I choose to participate at my own risk and accept full responsibility for my actions, my vehicle, my passengers, and any guests accompanying me.

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in automotive events, group drives, meetups, vehicle displays, light shows, educational sessions, and other club activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to vehicle accidents, property damage, personal injury, weather conditions, equipment failure, road hazards, and the actions of other participants.

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and hold harmless Tesla Owners Club of Ohio, its officers, directors, volunteers, event organizers, members, sponsors, venue owners, and partners from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in any club activity, including claims resulting from ordinary negligence.

This release applies to bodily injury, death, property damage, vehicle damage, financial loss, or any other loss arising from participation.

Vehicle Responsibility

I certify that my vehicle is legally registered, properly insured, and maintained in safe operating condition. I agree to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including traffic laws, parking regulations, and venue rules.

Safe Driving

I understand that Tesla Owners Club of Ohio does not organize races, speed contests, or reckless driving activities. I agree to operate my vehicle safely, responsibly, courteously, and in accordance with all traffic laws. I remain solely responsible for every driving decision I make.

Autopilot, Full Self-Driving, and Driver Assistance

I understand that I am solely responsible for the safe operation of my vehicle at all times, regardless of whether driver assistance features such as Autopilot or Full Self-Driving (Supervised) are enabled. I will remain attentive and comply with Tesla's operating instructions and all applicable laws.

Photography & Media Release

I grant Tesla Owners Club of Ohio permission to photograph, record, livestream, and otherwise capture my likeness, voice, vehicle, and participation during club events. I authorize the club to use such media for promotional, educational, editorial, archival, and social media purposes without compensation or additional approval.

Minors

I certify that I am at least 18 years of age or that I am the parent or legal guardian of any participating minor and agree to this waiver on the minor's behalf.

No Warranties

Tesla Owners Club of Ohio makes no representations or warranties regarding event safety, venue conditions, weather, charging availability, route conditions, or the actions of other participants.

Severability

If any provision of this waiver is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Club Insurance & Certificate of Insurance (COI)

Tesla Owners Club of Ohio maintains general liability insurance covering club-organized events, meetups, and activities. A Certificate of Insurance (COI) can be provided to venues, hosts, sponsors, or partners upon request — please reach out through the contact page in advance of the event.

Club insurance is intended to protect the organization, its volunteers, and participating venues. It does not replace, extend, or substitute for each attendee's own personal auto insurance, health insurance, or property coverage. Attendees remain responsible for maintaining their own insurance as required by law.

Governing Law

This waiver shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Ohio.

Acknowledgment

By registering for or participating in a Tesla Owners Club of Ohio event, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to this waiver and release of liability. I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring certain claims against Tesla Owners Club of Ohio and the other released parties to the extent permitted by law.
